Mid-Week Gatherings

〰️

Mid-Week Gatherings 〰️

Our mid-week gatherings take place in people’s homes - an intimate, small-group get-together with opportunities for prayer, deeper exploration of the Bible, worship and getting to know each other. We usually have a meal as part of the evening.

We gather from 7.30pm.

If you would like to join a group, please drop us an email.

Prayer and Worship Evening

〰️

Prayer and Worship Evening 〰️

Our weekly hour for prayer and worship - a space to connect with God in whichever way is most useful for you. There is usually a focus on improvised music as well as other forms of creativity, led by the prompting of the Holy Spirit. You are welcome to contribute to how the space unfolds, or simply rest in the loving presence of God.

We gather in The Harbour Totterdown, at 8pm.

On the first Monday of each month the worship is led by Severn Church and we are joined by some of the Severn church family.

Kids & Youth

〰️

Kids & Youth 〰️

Kids’ Church

This takes place periodically throughout the year on Wednesdays after school at The Harbour Totterdown from 4pm - 5.30pm. In the Summer term we usually meet in Victoria Park to make the most off the Summer weather.

Fun, games, music, stories and food.

Aimed at primary school aged children, parents are welcome to stay or drop off. Please send us an email to find out more or if you would like your child to attend.

Youth

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month from May-July at The Harbour Totterdown, a joint youth night (with other local churches) for Y5 - Y8 with games, craft, tuck and Bible teaching.

Lighthouse Vineyard Youth joins in with ‘The Mix’ once per term at Woodlands Church for a large worship gathering with youth groups from across the city (this is for Y7-Y13).

Please send us an email to find out more or if you would like your child to attend.

On 9th August 2024 Lighthouse Vineyard completed their purchase of the building formerly known as ‘Totterdown Methodist Church’ and re-branded it as ‘The Harbour Totterdown’. The new name serves to distinguish the ‘church’ which we believe to be something much bigger than a building, not least the gatherings of the Lighthouse family, from the building which exists to serve the community as a whole, not exclusively for church services & worship. Find out more on the website where you can take a virtual tour of the building, make a donation or book one of our spaces (including the kids’ party package which includes our large bouncy castle!).

Identity

We are a Jesus-centred family who draw closer to the Father and each other. We believe all people have been invited into this family.

Values

  • We are a family who build each other up to experience fullness of life with Jesus.

  • We are open to the spontaneous creativity of the Holy Spirit and grounded in the Bible.

  • We are generous with all aspects of our lives.

Mission

To embrace the people of the territory (see map below) into this Jesus-centred family. All are welcome to join us, no matter where you live, but the focus of our service is to the local area.

Lighthouse Church Territory

Vision

There will be an extended Jesus-centred family within the territory that adventure together in whole-life worship, actively using the gifts of the Spirit to help people encounter Jesus. On each road in the territory, there will be a family which has a unique DNA, expressing its gifts in daily life and drawing others to Jesus. They will be closely linked to one another, sharing time, resources, gifts, finances and meals. The extended family will gather together for special occasions and celebrations. The outworking of this extended family will contribute to the renewal of the church in Bristol.
