Frequently asked questions.

When do you meet?

We have a small weekly gathering on Thursday evenings from 8pm - 10pm in one of our homes. We also gather for our community meal on Sundays at Totterdown Methodist Church (entrance on Winton Lane) from 1130 - 1330: a bring-and-share lunch with worship and a short message. Please let us know if you would like to join us or just turn up.

What do you do in your meetings?

Our gatherings are very informal and welcoming. We always listen to what God may want to do and it usually includes praying with one another, worship, chat, eating and drinking. All are welcome, you can participate at whichever level is comfortable for you.

Who can come to a meeting?

All are welcome to our meetings, you don’t need to have any particular belief system to be part of the gathering although you may want to read our vision statement to see where we’re coming from. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to find out more!

What about my kids?

Kids are welcome to attend our Sunday gatherings which are very informal and include some sort of activities to keep them busy & interested. We also run kids’ church periodically through the year on Monday evenings - a sort of after-school club with a cooked meal, fun & games and teaching!

What else do you do?

We have a variety of other events and activities, have a look at our events page for more information. We are available to listen to you, to pray with you, to connect with you.

What is ‘The Harbour, Totterdown’?

We are in the process of purchasing the building formerly known as ‘Totterdown Methodist Church’ and recently re-branded it as ‘The Harbour, Totterdown’. We have a vision to develop the building into a vibrant community hub and want to clarify the distinction between ‘church’ (which we see as the people with whom we gather) and ‘building’ (which is one of the material resources we have available to us). Head over to the website to find out more!
